To test whether you do have tight hip flexors, lower your hips so that they hang over the edge of the bed, and then hug one knee in front of your chest. If you can reach your upper knees into your chest while your lower legs are still lying flat on the bed, it is not that tight hips can cause tension and pain, but weakness.
Knowing what is happening in your body not only enhances your abilities, it also allows you to focus on things that will really change your long-term feelings. Giving your psoas muscles what you need will not only help you improve the effectiveness of your fitness routine, it will also improve your overall quality of life.
